Upper Eyelid Surgery
Cosmetic upper eyelid surgery serves to improve the appearance of the upper eyelids. Upper eyelid appearance can be affected by the presence of excess skin in the upper eyelids and by the position of the eyelid margin on the eye itself. Baggy, redundant upper eyelid skin and lids that fall lower on the eye can lead to a tired, worn down appearance. Dr. Moore primarily utilizes two different procedures to improve upper eyelid appearance: upper eyelid blepharoplasty and ptosis repair. In upper eyelid blepharoplasty, excess skin is removed from the upper eyelids. In ptosis repair, the muscles that raise the eyelids are tightened to lift the eyelid.
