Dr. Grant Moore, MD is an oculofacial plastic surgeon in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Moore is a board-certified member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS), an elite society of 600 surgeons, who specialize exclusively in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Arizona – Phoenix.

Education and training

Dr. Moore graduated with distinction from the University of Michigan. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. As a medical student, he received both a Brienza Merit Scholarship and a Research to Prevent Blindness Fellowship grant. Following medical school, Dr. Moore completed his residency in ophthalmology at The University of California, Los Angeles (Jules Stein Eye Institute). As a resident, he received the Devgan Award, which acknowledges the graduating resident with the highest surgical skill level. Dr. Moore completed a two-year fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Richard Anderson in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is recognized as one of the top training programs in the nation for oculofacial plastic surgery.

Dr. Moore’s practice focus

As an oculofacial plastic surgeon, Dr. Moore focuses on cosmetic plastic surgery of the eyelids, eyebrows, forehead, and face. In addition to surgery, Dr. Moore’s expertise includes cosmetic rejuvenation of these areas with non-surgical modalities, like botulinum toxin, laser skin resurfacing, and dermal fillers. Dr. Moore also has a special interest in reconstructive surgery following both traumatic facial injuries and skin cancer removal.

Industry leadership

Dr. Moore is committed to research and education. His research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, and he serves as a reviewer for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the official journal of ASOPRS. Dr. Moore has lectured about his research at various meetings, including the ASOPRS Fall Scientific Symposium, the Las Vegas Cosmetic Surgery Symposium, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Moore is an active member of ASOPRS, having served on the Young ASOPRS committee, which focuses on education and promotion of early-career oculofacial plastic surgeons. Dr. Moore is the creator and current chairperson of The Oculofacial Podcast (TOP), the official podcast or ASOPRS.

Dr. Moore’s personal life

When he’s not at work, Dr. Moore enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and bullmastiff, named Wooby. His hobbies include traveling, skiing, art, and humanitarian endeavors. He is the founder and executive director of Working Vision (www.workingvision.net), a non-profit organization focused on the treatment and prevention of work-related eye injuries in the developing world.
